My husband and I were horrified when our cottonwood tree fell onto the back of the house. The damage looked pretty bad. We considered using a chainsaw to start clearing the branches away from the house with the help of a neighbor, but we were afraid that it would cause more damage. We called Mishawaka Tree Service to get some advice. The guys showed up very quickly. It was a good thing that we called because the tree had to be removed in sections and we wouldn't have known how to go about it. Within a few hours, they had the tree cleared of the house so our insurance adjuster could estimate the damage. Thanks for the fast service.-Alexandra King

The last windstorm left our backyard in pretty bad condition. A couple of trees were downed and it looked like one big brush pile. We're retired and neither of us are able to lift heavy branches. We decided to go with Mishawaka Tree Service to clean up the mess. I was surprised at their prices. We expected to pay a lot more than we did. They were friendly enough, but when it came time to get down to business, they got the job done quickly and even hauled all of the brush off. They did an excellent job and I would recommend this company to anyone who needs to have this kind of work done.-Deb Canfield

My daughter planted a tree in our front yard in memory of her brother some 20 years ago. When the branches started to become brittle, they would break off when a storm would hit. The tree has a lot of sentimental value, but we thought that the larger limbs could land on the front porch awning. Mishawaka Tree Service came out to look at the tree. I told them what it meant to the family. It turned out that it needed to have some of the larger and heavier branches removed for safety, but the tree is still standing. Thank you so much for saving our beloved tree! My advice is that if you have an issue with your favorite tree, don't just have it removed until you talk to an expert first.-Jessica Jamison

When we planted a line of trees in the back yard it was for privacy. We weren't thinking about the fact that they would grow tall and spread out. Over the years, they began to grow into the power lines. We called Mishawaka Tree Service to discuss our problem. They were able to trim and prune the trees so we still have the privacy and shade that we enjoy. We'll need to keep them pruned every few years to keep them from reaching the lines, but what a great service.-Austin Damon

Our old pine tree was shedding needles and cones onto the yard so badly that it made a mess. Grass wouldn't grow under that area either. We decided that it was time to have it cut down. We went with Mishawaka Tree Service to have it removed. I was a little concerned because it was so close to the house. They had their team using ropes and all kinds of equipment and I have to say that I was impressed with the precision these guys had when falling that monster of a tree. Great job and would use them again!-Jordan Wilsey

When out beloved spruce in the back yard began to lean looking more and more like a green Leaning Tower of Pisa, we finally called Mishawaka Tree Service. It had to go, and that was not easy. The tree had been planted too close to the house and roots had gone underneath the foundation, but these guys got it done and it didn't take them long either. They took the tree down in sections starting at the top and moved the wood off as they went. They got the job done quickly and efficiently without a hitch. And we didn't even hear one cuss word-John Miller

We had a lovely very tall spruce tree in our yard when we moved it, but I was afraid that if it ever fell it could simply crush our house. My husband called Mishawaka Tree Service and a man came out and did some checking and he assured us that our tree had many years of life left in it and suggested we leave it alone for at least five years before having Mishawaka Tree Service check it again.-Megan Nusbaum

Dutch elm disease had attacked our tree in front of the house, but we had no idea. Never heard of it until we realized the tree was in big trouble, and so were we as it began to sink on the side facing us and we were pretty sure it was eventually going to end up on our rooftop, a rooftop we had just paid nearly $10,000 to have installed. Luckily I thought to call the Mishawaka Tree Service people and one of their representatives came to the house. It didn't take him five minutes to tell us the problem and to agree that our tree had to come down. With two minutes of paperwork he was off and the next day the crew came out and disassembled the tree from top to bottom without wasting any time. I had them come out two weeks later and they got busy and removed the remaining stump and roots too. Thanks!-Jason Curtis

Our box elder, was going fast. It was old when we moved into our home and we never paid much attention until it became apparent that the tree was in trouble. Mishawaka Tree Service came, they saw, and they conquered. We felt bad for the tree, but it had outlived its time here in our yard.-Mitch Wolfe

One of our Chinkapin Oaks had clearly been dying since before we bought our little 2-acre farm. In desperation but cautious, we checked out Mishawaka Tree Service with the BBB and it got a clean slate. I made the call and before long they had removed the tree and given us some good advice about how to care for the remaining trees to keep them in good condition for many more years to come. I don't know if every tree service does that.-Lucretia Parker
